Abstract


The aim of this study was to determine the removal torque value of the reuse of C-implant¨Þ after recycling. 88 micro
implants were surgically placed on the proximal and distal side of femor of the each 14 rabbits weighted on 3.0¡­3.5
kg. 8 rabbits were sacrificed and removal torque value was determined at that time. 56 micro implants of 14 rabbits were
connected with the head parts. The distance of each head parts between implants is 18 mm. Each head parts was given
100 gm load with using NiTi closed coil spring. Removal torque value of each micro implants was determined after 6
weeks using digital torque gauge. Recycling procedure was done at removed micro implants and then upper procedure
was repeated at 14 rabbits. After 6 weeks, removal torque value was determined and compared with RTV of prerecycling
micro implants. The result indicates there was no difference statistically at the removal torque value after recycling procedure. Bone-like material was found on the surface of C-implant¨Þ after recycling procedure by SEM and inflammation around insertion tissue was not found. C-implant¨Þ was considered to be reused after recycling procedure.
